Bypass surveys [How-to]

While surfing internet you might face this situation when you come across a website that asks you to Complete a survey to view website or download something.

What are these surveys ?

They are CPA affiliates which gives benefits publisher when you complete a survey.

  • Sometimes a survey may ask your phone number, address or Zip.
  • Other types of surveys ask you to buy some thing online, which is also an affiliate product and benefits the publishers.
  • And last type of surveys are those which ask you to Download a file, which is in most situations aSpyware, so just never download or click on those files.

There are 2 ways to block these surveys – (1) Permanently (2) Temporarily

Block CPA Lead Survey Permanently on Windows

You must be logged in as administrator to to this task and you need administrator privileges to edit file.

  • Go to C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc
  • Now click on “hosts” file”, and select “Open notepad”
  • Now add this these lines at the end of the file.

  • Save the file and close the notepad.

If you were unable to save the file, or it says you don’t have rights to do this action then do the following -

  • Copy all the content of “Hosts” file
  • Open new notepad, and paste all the content in it and Add lines mentioned above if you haven’t done yet
  • Now Save the file anywhere in your computer with name “hosts” including the quotes
  • Goto the place where you saved this file, copy it then paste it in C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc and replace the previous “hosts” file

Block CPA Lead Survey on Ubuntu or any Linux

  • Open Terminal (Press CTRL + ALT + T in Ubuntu )
  • Pass the command : sudo gedit /etc/hosts
  • It will ask for your administrator password.After you enter the password editor will open.If linux returned an error “gedit command not found” use other editor which is installed on your system.
  • And add this two lines at end of the file .

  • Save the file and close the notepad.

After you save the file.

Wohoo! Now you are done and you have successfully blocked those annoying surveys Forever !


To block these surveys temporarily, just open the website where you see a survey and Paste the following code in the Address Bar
