Killer methods for a successful blog and huge traffic

Many fresh blogger(like me) quit blogging because of traffic problem at starting. We work hard, we publish original content, we do all the SEO stuff but still no success ?! The best solution to this is ‘Patience’. But you just cant wait for your Blog to come up without doing any effort, more the efforts = more early your blog will come up. Once it is in the safe hands of Google then you don’t need to do anything, your friend Google will do it. So here is what you can do to bring your blog up and start getting traffic, we’ll begin from then very starting of this process..

• If you haven’t yet started your blog on your own domain and is still using Online blog publishers such as WordPress.com, typepad, blogger or any other, then Buy a domain and start your own Blog (WordPress recommended).
• Next step is to Install necessary SEO plugins which optimize your website to adapt according the Search engines. Here are some recommended plugins which you must install -

1. All In One SEO Pack - Used to customize the meta keywords, description, and title tag of each page and/or post. Also controls what the text says in the navigation menu for each page, as well as the title attribute of that menu item and many more awesome features.
2. Google XML Sitemaps – This plugin will generate a special XML sitemap which will help search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo and Ask.com to better index your blog. With such a sitemap, it’s much easier for the crawlers to see the complete structure of your site and retrieve it more efficiently.
3. Dagon Design Sitemap Generator - Automatically generators a HTML based sitemap (mostly for user experience, but proven to have SEO significance as well). Very customizable to exclude pages, categories, or posts.

• Be careful with Theme – Don’t just go for looks, there are other things too which you should keep in mind, such as is it SEO friendly, is it Adsense friendly, is it suitable for you niche ? I would recommend to Install Thesis and buy ‘Thesis awesome’ skin. But if you want some free stuff then best themes to go with is ‘Freshlife’ or ‘Bigfoot’.

• Content – ‘Content’ is the daddy of all, your page rank is greatly influenced by you website content. If you don’t care about it and keep posting random copied stuff from other websites then I would suggest you to Shutdown your computer and go work on some store or restaurant. But if you are dedicated towards you blog and your work then here’s what your posting schedule must look like..

1. You don’t need to publish ‘Killer posts’ everyday. Make your own schedule, like at weekends you will Publish 1 or 2 Killer posts; normal light posts everyday.
2. What includes a normal and light post ? Refer similar blogs bookmark them and keep track of what they publish and try to either respond to it in your normal posts or ask your readers about it or you can rewrite it and publish it in your own way. But remember not to copy.
3. When writing ‘Killer articles’ don’t just rush through it. Give it some time, may be an hour or two. Make deep researches, refer other articles, Google it and find more about it. Remember one thing while writing Killer article that you are not going to do it everyday, so just put up all your efforts on this masterpiece, give great details, post images sophisticatedly.

• Networking - When you are done posting your everyday light post, next thing you need to do is Networking, in other words Backlinking.

1. Google for similar blogs or use StumbleUpon to find related blogs then comment on related niches leaving a backlink to your article or just your blog link in signature. But Don’t Spam. Make the comments original, read the 1st paragraph of the post and write related to it, don’t go off the topic.
2. Submit articles on Ezinearticles or any other similar article submission website leaving a backlink to your website.
3. Try Yahoo answers, its a very fast growing online community where people ask solution for their problems. Try answering questions related to your blog or any particular article and Post your link in ‘Source’ field.

Why is this process important ? Because it brings temporary traffic to your website, increases Alexa rank and builds backlinks, which determine your websites position in search engine.

• Promotion – Best way is to buy ads, but if you want it the Free way then best technique is Social Bookmarking. Social networks are the biggest platforms today on the internet where every kind of people are found (International promotion). Make use of the popular Social networks such as Facebook, twitter and others.

1. Make a Facebook page for your blog and drive likes by providing free stuff and elegant design.
2. Make twitter profile for your blog and list it in the sidebar or after post, to get more Followers.

Once you are ready with your blogging schedule and your technique then success is on its way. Go with your schedule and post regularly as I said and post 1 or 2 Killer articles every week.
