Facebook App Spamming....Save Yourself

Facebook, more big = more viral. Facebook App spamming is at its heights, first target of spammers is Facebook Apps because they are easy to get accepted into and they are pretty viral. Some Facebook Apps annoys you by asking for sending invite to your friends, suggest to your friends and send unwanted invitations, But the Greatest Danger are those Apps with “Access my data anytime” permission.
NEVER EVER ! Give permission to such apps, because They can post updates, post on your friends walls, access your pages from YOUR PROFILE ANYTIME.Not all these apps are Spam but most of them are, because why would a trusted App ask you to access your data anytime ? Thats Most probably a spammers mind.

How does this work ?

It ain’t any Hack or something, Facebook has actually given this chance to Developers to access Users data anytime, But why did facebook did so ? God knows or facebook knows. So basically what it do is Spam the link which spammers has setup in the App anytime after you have giver permission. And then the link of the App (or any external link) is spread all over. Mostly such apps will have a Survey Behind them which generates revenue for the spammer whenever you complete one. Check out Herehow to Block these surveys and hit those Bastards (spammers) in the Face :D .

By mistake I gave permission to such App, what now ?

If you have by mistake given permission to such App or in the Past – when you didn’t knew about it – then here’s what to do.

  • Goto this Link
  • Find the Application, which you gave by mistake permissions.
  • Click on Edit, then beside “Access my data any time” there will be a “Remove” button, click on it.
  • Now you have successfully removed these Permission and kicked the spammer in the face, Yippiee !! :-P

Cannot Open Google or Gmail in Chrome? Try this fix

Ever since I upgraded to the latest version of Google Chrome, I keep getting “socket” errors when trying to open Google, Gmail or any other website under the google.com domain. This isn’t as issue with my Internet connection as I can easily access the Google websites from IE and Firefox but they simply refuse to load inside Chrome with the following error: Error 15 (net::ERR_SOCKET_NOT_CONNECTED): Unknown error. The problem gets resolved when the computer is restarted but that’s just a temporary solution as the errors keep coming back. It turns out that this is a  known issue  in Google Chrome and has also been experienced by dozens of Google users on Twitter. Fix Socket Errors in Google Chrome While we wait for the Chrome team to fix the issue, the irony is that it only seems to affect Google websites, there’s one simple step you can perform to get rid of the socket errors without having to restart the computer. Open Google Chrome and type chrome://net-int
